Senior Low Latency Infrastructure Engineer (Rust/C++) | DeFi Startup backed by A16z | Remote, Europe
We’re looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in low-latency, high-performance systems. In this role, you’ll play a key part in developing cutting-edge infrastructure to support real-time data processing, inventory pricing, and simulations across multiple strategies. You’ll have the chance to work on greenfield projects aimed at building scalable, high-reliability systems that process large data volumes with minimal latency. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about innovative solutions, eager to build complex, optimized infrastructure for decentralized markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain low-latency, highly parallelized systems using Rust and/or C++ on Linux.
- Design scalable services capable of handling large data and traffic volumes while ensuring minimal latency.
- Work with order book data and have a deep understanding of centralized exchange orderflow, order matching, and trade execution.
- Implement and maintain services with high observability and extreme reliability.
- Utilize Docker and Kubernetes to deploy and manage services in production environments.
- Collaborate with a distributed team in a flexible and remote-first setting.
Who You Are:
- Passionate about solving complex technical problems and optimizing infrastructure.
- Excited by Web3 and DeFi, with a deep understanding of the space (bonus points if you’re an MEV enthusiast).
- Enjoy working in a startup environment with a remote-first culture, particularly in European or nearby time zones (UTC – UTC+4).
- Comfortable with occasional travel within Europe for team meet-ups and co-working sessions.
- Ready to be part of a small, ambitious team working to revolutionize on-chain liquidity and capital efficiency.
