E-commerce and Machine Learning – how do they connect?
Three months ago, I decided to join good friends and previous colleagues Sam Marsh and Josh Barker at Adapt Talent.
The idea was to expand the business here in the US but also into new markets. The company has excelled itself to become a leading recruitment partner in the E-commerce space, particularly around Magento, SFCC and Shopify. My expertise and my task were to do the same in the AI recruitment markets. I think the important question that we are still connecting the dots on, is how we can synergize these markets and organically grow around them.
First and foremost, we are specialists in what we do and like to be “an inch wide and a mile deep” in our markets. Both ML and Ecommerce are well established and look to continue to grow in the coming years so from a recruitment perspective put us in a good place.
Our Current Markets
In the current active markets, there are already several areas that overlap E-Commerce and AI. Not limited to but including Product Search, AI bot assistance, recommendation, customer insights. As companies look to integrate ML technologies to automate services and improve customer experiences. AI and Big tech companies are also integrating commerce into their platform to drive extra revenue. More technology spaces will open as these two industries continue to grow and innovate.
Growth: New areas to explore
As Adapt Talent continues to expand internally, we are always looking at new markets and emerging technologies. We want to always stay true to our values of being specialists and have consultants that complement each other. We have been looking into Payment, FinTech and Blockchain as these synergize well with our two existing specialities.
