Why should I use a recruiter to hire for my business?
Recruiters, Headhunters, Talent Consultants, Delivery Consultants, TA’s, “unicorn hunters”? It appears there are now 101 job titles for a good old fashioned Recruitment Consultant – but why should you use one? I mean, they’re just a waste of company GP after all. Right?
Time
The first and (in my opinion) biggest reason for businesses opting to use a recruitment agency is t i m e. Recruiting takes up a lot of time from your day and if you are a busy company owner or team manager, your time is better spent elsewhere. Partnering with a recruiter can allow you to focus on the task at hand and what’s important such as servicing your OWN clients.
Process Knowledge
Recruiters have expert knowledge of recruiting processes and how to work with clients and candidates. This can be so important if you are someone that has previously struggled to hire – we can help you change and streamline processes. After all, there is no need to send a candidate a tech test prior to them having their first interview with you.
Industry Insight
When you spend 5 days a week speaking with hundreds of people from the same market/industry, you learn a thing or two! Recruiters will be able to advise you on how you match up against your competitors with packages/offers. They will also know exactly where to look to find that strategic hire you need to make to help propel your business forward.
Network
Having a clean and broad network is one of the most important tools in a recruiters arsenal. It is in our job description to ensure we keep on top of who is where and what they do. This is especially important in smaller, more niche markets such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC). When your candidate pool is small, you must know it inside and out. Recruiters spend all of their time communicating with candidates in their market and often will already have some ideas on exactly who they can reach out to when they are debriefed on a new position.
Cost
Is one important hire holding your business back from achieving something great? Think about the extra revenue you could generate from this person being a part of your business. Often times, the value a hire would bring to your business and team greatly outweighs the cost of a recruiters fee.
Partnering with a recruitment agency can help your business grow and accelerate forward in multiple ways. They can be invaluable for businesses of all sizes and whatever hire you need – you can bet that there will be a specialist agency out there working on just that niche.
